The predicted risk of miscarriage in a future pregnancy remains about 14 percent after one miscarriage. after two miscarriages the risk of another miscarriage increases to about 26 percent, and after three miscarriages the risk of another miscarriage is about 28 percent.. I underwent medical management 2 weeks ago for a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. i visited the doctor today, and was advised that i need to wait for at least 1 if not more periods as there is 'an increased risk of miscarriage' if i were to get pregnant again straight away.. I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks (well, the doctor called it missed, but the baby had died at 11 weeks and we discovered it at 11+2, so i may have miscarried on my own in the next few days) and a d&c back at the end of july or early august.. After 1st miscarriage we waited 6 months, then after 2 months of trying, got pregnant again. also miscarried that one then waited a year. and got pregnant the first month of trying!!.
