If you want to get pregnant after a miscarriage, talk to your doctor. find out when you can try to conceive once again. most specialists will advise you to wait three menstrual cycles after d&c before resuming attempts to have a baby.. We had 2 cycles before getting pregnant again. we would have been fine getting pregnant right away, but my doctor just advised to wait a bit. we weren't really careful in between the d&c and getting pregnant though.. When you ask your doctor how soon after a d & c can you get pregnant, he will surely tell you to wait, depending on your body’s healing capacity. some women recover quickly and are given a go ahead in a month’s time..
Getting pregnant after having a baby after adjusting the monitor on my patient’s stomach so i could hear the baby’s heartbeat, i pulled up her chart to see her history. “i see here it says. My cycle returned exactly 28 after my d&c and we conceived again immediately after that. although now my dating scan has put things back 2 weeks which is next to impossible, so only time will tell whether i get to keep this wee one, or lose him/her to.. D&c in january, had 3 periods (but with long cycles) and got pregnant on the 4th cycle, so found out i was pregnant in august. so it took us 7 months, but we didn't start trying again until march (1 month waiting for period, 1 month of not being ready)..
